Kingston Giving is entering a new chapter

For many years, Kingston Giving has connected the generosity of local people and organisations with the communities that need it most, across our borough. 

As the recently appointed Chair of Trustees, I am humbled to be leading Kingston Giving into its next phase, alongside our dedicated board of Trustees, valued patrons and committed volunteers. 

With funding opportunities for charity staff costs becoming increasingly limited, we have taken the decision to relaunch Kingston Giving as a volunteer-led organisation.  

Moving forward, this means that more of every pound donated will go directly towards supporting local people, community groups and projects across the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Our mission remains unchanged: to turn local generosity into local impact. 

Since 2021, Kingston Giving has awarded 126 grants, worth more than £148,000, supporting more than 57,000 people. 

From Chessington to Surbiton, Tolworth to New Malden and beyond, we know our borough inside out. We identify where resources are needed most, and where people want to place their support, including smaller or less visible causes, and ensure that funding reaches the people and organisations making a difference. 

We’re also simplifying our grants programme to make it easier for community groups to access support quickly and efficiently. 

We are incredibly grateful to the residents, councillors, businesses and partners who have supported us so far and share our commitment to a stronger, fairer borough.
