Find Out What Kingston Thinks in our report
Our ‘What Kingston Thinks’ report is the culmination of nine months of research, capturing the voices of over 200 residents and shedding light on the needs, challenges, and opportunities within the Borough of Kingston. It’s a cornerstone for shaping our work and strengthening our borough for years to come.
40+ data sources. 20 trained peer researchers. 208 Kingston residents interviewed 💬
In April 2024, we began working with Rocket Science to explore what it’s like to live and work in Kingston. Funded by the City Bridge Foundation, this report sparked huge changes at Kingston CF, and went hand-in-hand with our re-brand to Kingston Giving.
We’re now focused on shaping a brighter future for everyone in our community.
Our 20 local researchers, trained by Rocket Science, connected with Kingston residents to explore topics like mental health, caring, employment, green spaces and more.
Paid the London Living Wage, they brought lived experience and diverse voices to the heart of this project 🤍
“Through the process, I gained a deeper appreciation for the different challenges people face and how important it is to listen to those voices when shaping services.”
- Maryam Irekeola, Peer Researcher
“It's just a terrible situation in people's lives and people just end up spiralling down rather than being able to access support and help when they need it the most.”
- Kingston Resident
LESS THAN HALF OF RESPONDENTS SAID THEIR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING WAS GOING WELL OR GOING OKAY
“We are privileged to have so many green spaces, but many could be better maintained and more accessible.”
