Free hot meals, drinks and warm spaces across Kingston

Across Kingston borough, local organisations are opening their doors each day to offer free meals, hot drinks and welcoming places to spend time.

From community cafés and lunch clubs to warm hubs and community fridges, these spaces offer a chance to eat, connect and find a friendly welcome close to home.

To make it easier to see what’s available, RBKares and Kingston Giving have collaborated to produce a simple guide showing where people can find food, refreshments and warm spaces throughout the week.

The guide includes locations across Kingston, Surbiton, New Malden, Chessington and Norbiton, with many venues offering meals, tea and coffee mornings, sandwiches, soup or snacks. Some run community lunches, while others provide a relaxed place to sit, charge a phone, access WiFi or simply spend time in a warm and friendly environment.

Many of these services are free, while some operate on a “pay what you can” basis so that everyone feels comfortable joining.

What you’ll find in the guide

The poster and leaflet list daily options across the borough, including:

🍽️ Community lunches and cafés
☕ Tea, toast and coffee mornings
🥪 Sandwiches, soup and light meals
🧺 Community fridges
🏠 Warm hubs and welcoming spaces

Some venues run weekly, while others take place on specific days of the week, so the guide helps people quickly see what’s available nearby and when.

Please help share it

This guide is designed to be shared widely. If you work with residents, volunteers, community groups or local organisations, please consider passing it on.

You might:

📌 Print a copy for a community noticeboard
🤝 Share it with colleagues or volunteers
📰 Include it in a newsletter
💬 Send it to someone who might find it helpful

The more people who know what’s available locally, the easier it is for everyone to find support, connection and a warm welcome when they need it.
